scanning slides - newbie problems
The system acknowledges that they are there, but drivers aren't available for them yet. USB support is actually pretty good. It is only multimedia USB device .... As far as checking out the SANE web site in reference to my Canon D660U Scanner - well, as far as I can tell there is still no real support for it.

My old HP scanner came bundled with software that would automatically "find" images within a scan and save them as separate files. Unfortunately, my new spiffy Canon D660U does not have such a feature. Does someone know of a package that will do this that I can purchase (or, even better, shareware)? Thanks muchly.

I know the quality of a flatbed scanner isn't as good as a proper slide scanner but is it good enough for web pages. Does anyone have examples of web pages with slides scanned on a Canon 660U or similar I have a Canon D660U and am gradually scanning some of my slides. The gradually is because it is SLOW.
